Since 2005, Rebecca (Becca) has been a fundraiser and donor advisor for several progressive organizations.
Most recently, she was the Development Director at America Votes, the coordination hub of the progressive community. Previously, Becca was the Director of Partner Services at the Democracy Alliance where she was responsible for executing the strategic plan to grow and expand the Alliance Partnership and advised DA Partners on their philanthropic giving. Becca spent five years in the Development Department at EMILY’s List where she created and launched EMpower, EMILY’s List first ever membership program for young professionals. As a member of the events team, she helped plan annual conferences, convention events, and the 20th and 25th anniversary celebrations at EMILY’s List.
Becca’s first foray into politics came in the office of Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich) and she spent time on electoral campaigns in Sioux Falls, SD and Denver, CO before settling in Washington in 2005. A political campaign enthusiast, Becca occasionally escapes DC to work on local, state and national campaigns and has been on races in Michigan, California, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Texas.
A proud Detroit native, Becca received her B.A. from Denison University with a double major in Political Science and Communication. She and her husband, David along with their daughters, Milly and Lulu and their family dog, Hogarth, live in the NOMA neighborhood of DC.
