Kathryn Greenberg is the Principal of KG Consulting, a firm dedicated to providing strategic fundraising guidance. KG Consulting has worked with dozens of the most exciting, diverse and high impact organizations in the progressive movement on issues from climate change to economic policy to journalism to democracy reform. KG Consulting has helped their clients raise millions through major gifts, foundation relations, events, and other fundraising programs.
Greenberg is a seasoned professional who brings 25 years of development experience to every client. Primary areas of focus include strategic development planning, organizational fundraising processes, project management, public-private partnerships, and positioning the organization for optimal fundraising outcomes.
Greenberg was most recently the Senior Vice President at the Democracy Alliance where she oversaw the strategy to grow the membership, managed all membership efforts and activities, and stewarded over $25M per year in resources for progressive organizations. Prior to her work at the Democracy Alliance, Greenberg was the Director of Development and External Affairs at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she oversaw all foundation relations, grant writing, major gifts, events and marketing.
Before coming to Washington DC she was the Managing Director of Internal & External Communications at the Chicago Housing Authority where she oversaw the communications, policy, and resource development for the agency. She was responsible for raising $50 million in resources to support the housing redevelopment efforts.
Greenberg received her B.A. from NYU and an M.P.A. from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children.
