Kathryn Greenberg is the Principal for KG Consulting, a firm dedicated to providing strategic fundraising guidance and positioning to progressive institutions.

Kathryn is a seasoned professional who brings 20 years of development and communications experience to every client.  Primary areas of focus include strategic development planning, organizational fundraising processes, project management, public-private partnerships, and positioning the organization for optimal fundraising outcomes.

Before starting KG Consulting, Kathryn was most recently the Senior Vice President at the Democracy Alliance where she oversaw the strategy to grow the membership, managed all membership efforts and activities, and stewarded over $25M per year in resources for progressive organizations.  Prior to her work at the Democracy Alliance, Kathryn was the Director of Development and External Affairs at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she oversaw all foundation relations, grant writing, major gifts, events and marketing.

Before coming to Washington, DC she was the Managing Director of Internal & External Communications at the Chicago Housing Authority where she oversaw the communications, policy, and resource development for the agency.  She was responsible for raising $50 million in resources to support the housing redevelopment efforts.   Greenberg also ran school health programs for the Department of Public Health in Chicago managing a 100 person staff and multi-million dollar budget.

Kathryn received her B.A. from NYU and an M.P.A. from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.  She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children.
